Zantorp is a male dragon/pony hybrid creature in the fifth generation of My Little Pony, only appearing in the My Little Pony: Tell Your Tale episode, Buried in a Good Book. He is presumably the only one of his kind, as he lives in Questopia and is known as "Zantorp the Furious".
Personality[]
As his namesake given by the Book Fairy, he is a bad-tempered creature, who appears to be beyond reasoning and furiously attacks the Mane Six with his magic and physical strength. Many of his attacks are aggressive and he gets agitated when his opponents counterattack. It is later revealed that he is a sad and lonely dracony, who has lost his social skills. Once the Mane Six help him overcome his angry emotions, he becomes much friendlier.
Appearance[]
Zantorp is a celadon-green dragonlike with some pony characteristics with lighter green feet and snout, with traits similar to an alicorn. It is currently unknown what species Zantorp is, may be of fictional species. His face has red iris on his eyes, which can glow yellow in the dark. There are four fangs protruding from his mouth. The hair on his head and tail is umber-brown. He has a red saber-shaped horn on his forehead. He has four asymmetrical wings (on the left side one small red and beige wing on his neck and one large beige on his lower part of his body, on his right side one large red and beige and one middle-sized beige wing on upper and middle part of his body). Each foot has a set of three knife-shaped claws.
Abilities[]
Zantorp displays mighty strength, which can smash rock floors and walls. His strength also allows him to block magic and break from magic bonds. His horn can emit telekinetic magic similar to a unicorn, being able to lift, hover, and hurtle heavy rocks. Finally he is resistant to daze magic. The only magic which can directly affect him is Misty's special emotional magic.

Season 2[]
Only appeared in Buried in a Good Book. The ponies enter Zantorp's cave, which he was not pleased to see so he lunges at the ponies. Sunny uses her magic against Zantorp, but he hurls her against the cave wall and hurtles boulders at the ponies. Hitch conjures up thick vines to entangle Zantorp, but he simply breaks free. Izzy tries to put the him in a daze with whirling butterflies, but he snaps out of it and stomps at her. While the other ponies were hiding, Misty approaches Zantorp and uses her magic to see inside Zantorp's mind. In Zantorp's mind, he carves a picture on the wall, which depicts that Zantorp is lonely and longs for friends. Realizing Zantorp's true feelings, Misty finds him relatable and offers to be his friend, which Zantorp happily accepts. In the end, Misty promises Zantorp future visits, much to his delight.
