Swing and a Misty is the fourteenth episode in Season 2 of My Little Pony: Tell Your Tale, and the eighty-fourth episode overall. It was released on June 13, 2024.

Synopsis[]

Misty grows unhappy with things going wrong on a family camping trip. However Pipp and Zipp help her see the good side of the trip.

Plot[]

This episode begins with Misty, Pipp and Zipp goes on a camping trip with their parents, Alphabittle and Queen Haven. Misty is very upset that a number of their activities go terribly wrong.

Zipp and Pipp then turn the recordings Misty had taken into a video which shows what really mattered: making memories together as a family, and play it on a movie projector for the group.

  • It's shown that Zipp and Pipp have come to accept their mother's relationship with Alphabittle even more, especially after it was revealed that Misty is Alphabittle's daughter.
    • Queen Haven and Alphabittle are shown going on camping trips with their respective daughters.
    • Zipp implies that Misty might be a part of their family some day.
    • Zipp and Pipp edit Misty's video to showcase the happy and fun moments from their trip, even those caused by the accidents.
  • This is Haven's first speaking episode since The Rise and Fall.
  • Sunny, Izzy and Hitch were credited in this episode despite not appearing nor being mentioned.
  • This episode has a similar thesis statement to Making a Meal of It and Mare Family Mare Problems: what makes an experience special is spending it with one's favorite ponies, no matter how right or wrong it goes. In the prior episodes, Zipp and Pipp are learning the lesson, and in this one, they are passing it onto Misty.
