Shortcakes the Strawberry Dessert Pony, OC designed by Annabelle Mead, is the winner of an official contest held by Big W in Australia on October 18, 2022, whose 1st prize was to have the character show up in an episode of My Little Pony: Tell Your Tale in the second half of 2024 (which means she will appear in the second season of the show), alongside receiving a physical print of her pony and a prize pack valued at $250 AUD.

Shortcakes was declared first place out of runner up prize winning entry ahead of Midnight Dream (which is named from a G3 earth mare), Arthit Tan's OC, and finally another runner up prize winning entry ahead of Cherry Bloom, Scarlett Albacos's OC, those two runners-up will have their pony designed in Tell Your Tale's art style, along with a physical print and a prize pack valued at $100 AUD.
