Shimmerwing is a butterfly who first appears in My Little Pony: A New Generation and later in My Little Pony: A Maretime Bay Adventure.

Shimmerwing was first encountered by Izzy Moonbow and Sunny Starscout after the two departed from Maretime Bay for Zephyr Heights. Izzy took a great interest in Shimmerwing, following the butterfly. Shimmerwing lead the two part of the way towards Zephyr Heights. She is never seen again for the rest of the film after that.
My Little Pony: A Maretime Bay Adventure[]
Shimmerwing would eventually settle in Maretime Bay and would assist Sunny and her friends in finding items and helping other ponies.
My Little Pony: A Zephyr Heights Mystery[]
Shimmerwing would assist the Mane 6 to the missing items or helping other ponies.

Shimmerwing is a small butterfly with black eyes and pale blue body, she sports two big black-and-yellow wings on her back and two curly antennae on her head.
