Raneigh is a male spirit pony in the fifth generation of My Little Pony who exclusively appears in My Little Pony: Maretime Mysteries. He haunts a board game called "Maretime Mysteries".
Personality[]
Raneigh shows himself as malevolent and treating every place and pony like part of a game. While he follows his own rules through, he has no qualms about making his game as difficult as possible with tight time limits. After being beaten at his own game by the Mane Six, he begins to feel insecure and open up to them. Raneigh is no stranger to friends, but ultimately his insecurity, impatience and jealousy got the better of his. Formerly he was a cheery pony who loved a good board game with his best friend Kyren. It was only when playing against Kyren that he lost his normal sporty self. After he lost game after game, he resented Kyren and gave in to the power of the Transformation Gem not realizing that he thrown away the most important things to him. His regrets for his action weaken his mind and he loses focus, but positive understanding from members of the Mane Six allows him to fully confess to his flaws, ultimately undoing his transformation. After that he is back to his cheery, sport-self.
Appearance[]
Raneigh has a ghost body made of celadon green ectoplasm that shines and twinkles. His lower half ends as a wisp, but his front legs appear on his torso with olive green hooves. His mane is made up of thick long snake-like braids. His eyes have black sclerae and violet pupils. On his head and around his ears, he wears a silver headband with ornate flower stem patterns and a purple teardrop gem. Around his neck, he wears a silver necklace with silver leaf-shaped pieces and a purple teardrop gem in the middle.
Years ago he looked almost the same as an Earth pony. His eyes had white sclerae, violet iris and black pupils. His tail had snake-like braid in the same style as his mane. His cutie mark was a gold rhombus shield and a blue sword. After his curse is broken, he reverts back to his previous form.
