Princes Celestia was a female Alicorn pony and the former co-ruler of Equestria alongside her younger sister Princess Luna.
Apperance[]
Princess Celestia is a white filly Alicorn with golden hooves. She has shiny mane, a striped mane with light cerulean, light turquoise and also pale heliotrope. She has a wavy mane which on her side, and a wavy tail, and she has short bangs and strand on her left side. Her eyes are light grayish-magenta, her eyebrows are black. Her wings and feathers have the same color as her body.
Her Cutie Mark is a sun.
Personality[]
Princess Celestia was a kind and regal pony during her reign as co-ruler of Equestria. She tended to act in a very motherly manner towards those around her and was always there to guide others. Despite her immense patience though, it does has its limits. Princess Celestia was also known to have a fun-loving side as well as a mischievous streak.
As a filly displayed in Opaline's flashback, Celestia was shown to be lively and playful. Although, she was also depicted as prideful as well as displaying a dismissive and elitist attitude towards Opaline. However, that negative depiction of Celestia is questionable at best as it was only shown from Opaline's perspective.

Princess Celestia and her younger sister Princess Luna grew up as fillies in Skyros where they also knew Opaline.
The two princesses were later asked to rule Equestria by their teacher Star Swirl the Bearded to help unite all the pony races. Which was a dream come true as they both always dreamed of ruling one day. When they accept this invitation, however, they are still blank flanks because Alicorns age differently than other ponies and because duties with the moon and sun were still under the control of King Bullion and Princess Platinum.
Later, Star Swirl asks the princesses to take control of the sun and moon and so, Celestia and Luna go to do a moonset and sunrise. When they succeed, Celestia has received her Cutie Mark of the sun and Luna of the moon.

In Sunny Side Up, Princess Celestia was seen alongside her younger sister, Princess Luna in Opaline's origin. It is showed how they grew up in Skyros and how Opaline tried to make friends with them, but they turned away and reject her request. Causing Opaline to become resentful and jealous of her and Luna.

In Misty-rious New Room, Princess Celestia is pictured of her and Princess Luna defeating Discord and turning him to stone by using the Elements of Harmony.

- "Celestia" is a variant of "Celeste" and it means "heavenly" in Latin.
- In G4 comics, she is depicted as having a pure pink mane when she was younger. But in Sunny Side Up, her younger self is depicted with the same multicolored mane she has as an adult in G4.
