Ooh a New Friend is the twentieth episode in Season 2 of My Little Pony: Tell Your Tale and the ninetieth episode overall. It was released on September 5, 2024.

Synopsis[]

Izzy accidentally stumbles upon Allura's cave and tries to befriend her, but the snow leopard's hypnosis makes her do the same thing over and over again.

Plot[]

Izzy is having a great time trying out windsurfing at the beach until she wipes out on the shore. But after quickly laughing it off, she feels a chilly wind and discovers she's landed in front of Allura's ice cave. Wondering who's inside, Izzy heads to Sunny's smoothie stand at the Boardtrot to get a fruit basket to welcome their new guest to Maretime Bay. But she receives a nasty surprise when she comes face to face with Allura and Twitch, who are none too happy about Izzy destroying the Nova Charm to create the Boardtrot. Smacking away Izzy's gift, Allura uses her hypnotic powers to erase Izzy's memories before sending her away.

But on Izzy's way out, a wave splashes over her, snapping her out of the trance. Seeing the cave again, Izzy returns to Sunny to get another basket but is rejected and then hypnotized by Allura again. After several cycles of the experience, Sunny, Zipp and Pipp finally ask Izzy where she's taking the baskets, and when Izzy tells them of the cave, they realize Allura is back in town and warn Izzy to stay away from the cave, but Izzy refuses, wanting to make amends with the leopard.

But when she returns, a fed-up Allura uses her ice magic to seal Izzy in a giant snow globe. But Zipp and Pipp arrive, battling Allura, who uses her magic to create falling ice stalactites to force them to the ground. But Zipp gets an idea and tricks Allura into using a stalactite to free Izzy from her prison. Enraged, Allura summons a wave of snow to force the ponies out and seals the entrance to the cave with a wall of ice.

  • Several foreign languages have the wrong title of this episode, which all of them are titled as translation of "Rainbow, Rollercoaster, and Hopalattas", that can be found on their YouTube channels.
  • It's revealed that Allura's hypnotic powers allows her to erase at least recent memories, including others seeing her.
  • Hitch and Misty were credited in this episode despite not appearing nor being mentioned by name.
