Rufus is unable to impress ponies with his stage magic as the "Great Hoofdini" ever since real magic returned to Equestria. Izzy Moonbow suggests that Rufus use his plant-growing magic that all Earth ponies have, but Rufus does not believe he has any. Izzy tries to help Rufus find a new passion, including law enforcement with Hitch, guarding royal treasure for Queen Haven, and bartending with Alphabittle, but he fails at each attempt.
As Rufus considers giving up stage magic, Glory flies up into the sky trying to get a signal on her phone to watch Pipp Petals' livestream. When she bumps into another Pegasus and plummets toward the ground, Rufus discovers his plant-growing magic and saves her. He is hailed as a hero, and the short ends with him using his plant magic to add a magical touch to Pipp's livestream.
