My Little Pony: Make Your Mark is a 3D computer-animated children's television series. It serves as a sequel to the 2021 film My Little Pony: A New Generation. It made its debut on Netflix on May 26, 2022, with the first special episode "Make Your Mark". The next 8 episodes, following after the events of the special, released on September 26, 2022. It is animated by Atomic Cartoons. It is currently set to have 23 episodes, each with a length of 22 minutes.[1] The show's release is being divided into "chapters", with the special episode being described as "Chapter 1" and the first 8 regular episodes being described as "Chapter 2".
Synopsis

Chapter 1
Months after magic has returned to Equestria, Sunny Starscout and her new pony friends are excited to celebrate their new lives on Maretime Bay Day! But while their group may have adjusted to magic’s return, plenty of Unicorns and Pegasi are still having trouble mastering their powers, frustrating the non-magical Earth Ponies who wish to return to how things were before.
This division worries Zipp, who notices that the Unity Crystals have begun glitching, disrupting magic for everyone. Zipp begins investigating, discovering the glitches seem to be happening more and more, their chaos further dividing the ponies of Maretime Bay. She tries to convince her friends that the Unity Crystals are acting strange, but they think she’s worrying over nothing and don’t believe her. That is, until they witness a Pegasus falling out of the sky onto an Earth Pony themselves. This spurs outrage from the Earth Ponies, who threaten to boycott Maretime Bay Day if the town isn’t made a magic-free zone.
Now on her side, Zipp explains to her friends her discovery that magic is glitching when ponies aren’t treating each other with kindness. Their mission now is to throw such an amazing Bay Day that everypony comes together in harmony to stabilize magic again. But as the Earth Ponies air their frustrations with the inclusion of Pegasi and Unicorns in a holiday they see as their own, the glitches escalate, bringing about a massive magical storm that threatens to swallow the town.
In the end, it’s only the power of Sunny and her friends working together that saves the day. As magic stabilizes, the Earth Ponies discover they now too have powers! Feeling included and having seen the error of their ways, they apologize and come together with the Unicorns and Pegasi in harmony to celebrate the rest of Maretime Bay Day together.
Chapter 2
Magic has finally returned to Equestria thanks to Sunny Starscout and her new friends! The Pegasi can fly and the Unicorns can use levitation again… and the Earth Ponies have activated their own special magic for the very first time in history. It’s a whole new world! Which is exhilarating… but, well, also a little scary and strange. And now that Sunny is an Alicorn with powers, there’s a lot to figure out.
My Little Pony: Make Your Mark will explore the rules of this growing magic while the Mane 5 get to know themselves on their own journeys of self-discovery. Living together for the first time, the ponies must navigate a new normal living in a society that has recently undergone a massive, life-changing shift. The relatability of this new reality is the perfect springboard to tell relatable, fresh stories that will appeal to this generation of emotionally tuned-in viewers and all of the things they are going through in a world that has been forever changed.
And as the Mane 5 explore the rules of magic and discover about themselves in the process, the series will focus in on the existing lands of Maretime Bay, Bridlewood, and Zephyr Heights. It will delve deeper into their individual backstories, their hobbies and jobs (whether it be sheriff, smoothie-cart owner, or detective princess), familial relationships (Pipp & Zipp’s sisterhood), and journeys to find exactly what makes each of them “sparkle.”
A diverse and adorable supporting bunch of Unicorns, Pegasi, and Earth Ponies who are all adjusting to life with magic in their own ways make up a colorful cast. But a typical episode might center around the Mane 5 helping one another with a magical mystery, juggling responsibilities and friendships, or learning more about each other’s different species’ cultural customs. All while resisting the plan of an evil villain who hopes to steal it all away from them.
Chapter 3
Winter Wishday is fast approaching, and the Mane 5 are all looking forward to the magical holiday celebration. Sunny can't wait to exchange gifts with her friends under the wishing star that night in Maretime Bay, but finds that each of the Mane 5 have their own holiday traditions to celebrate as well. So, they hatch a plan to celebrate everypony's traditions in one day with the help of Izzy's newest upcycle project, a flying van they name the Mare Stream!
Together they takeoff through the snow to their first holiday stop, Hitch's grandma Figgy's house. There they build gingerbread houses and discover that, while Hitch assures them his grandma is very strict about her holiday traditions, it's actually him who's tied to his Wishday nostalgia. Afterward they depart to Bridlewood for Izzy's unicorn tradition of placing her hoofmade ordainment on the Wishing Tree, a stop made even longer by Izzy stopping to tell every pony she sees "frosty shivers", the traditional unicorn Wishday greeting.
Racing against the clock, they then head off to Zephyr Heights to attend the Wishday Carol Concert, which unfortunately runs way longer than expected. When it's finally time to leave, the Mane 5 find that the snowfall has become so heavy that they can't find the Mare Stream. With her detective skills and a little help from a book she borrowed from Grandma Figgy, Zipp puts together that the unicorns, not yet used to having their magic back, are accidently casting a spell when they say "frosty shivers" to each other. With this info, the Mane 5 journey back to Bridlewood to stop the holiday blizzard and barely make it back to Maretime Bay in time to exchange their gifts under the Wishing Star together. As the Wishing Star goes by, the Unity Crystals shine bright from the Crystal Brighthouse and send a rainbow up to it, creating a glorious light display in the sky over Equestria.
Chapter 4
My Little Pony: Bridlewoodstock special sees the Mane 5 trying to stage a music festival during Bridlewood’s beautiful Lumi-Bloom, a gorgeous bioluminescent nature event that only happens once a year. Throughout their quest they race to book Equestria’s best and brightest artists, reunite old legends, and grapple with the unicorn legend of voice stealing Troggles. Wylie will join the cast to provide new original music, as Equestria’s newest pop sensation, for the special.
Chapter 5
Misty officially becoming a part of the group After helping The Mane 5 save Sparky, earning her own cutie mark, and turning her back on Opaline — the six ponies must work together to uncover more of Misty’s past, grow stronger as a group, and search for a way to beat Opaline before she gains the strength to take over all of Equestria. And with the group adjusting to their growing family, there’s bound to be some high and not so highs Whether the ponies are uncovering the mystery of Misty’s past, or Sunny and Zipp entertaining Bridlewood’s oldest unicorn, or even the group deciding to make things “spooky” for Nightmare Night at their Crystal Frighthouse.
Chapter 6
Opaline’s wrath, after learning Misty sabotaged her in effort to save Sparky. Now with the power of even more dragonfire, Opaline plans to steal the Cutie Marks of everypony in Equestria. As the Mane 6 rush to stop her and save their friends, they’ll find that while evil may overpower them individually, there is power in their friendship! Even after this climactic finale, the Mane 6 will find their work is not yet over as a strange new world appears to them beyond anything the ponies have seen before.
The Secrets of Starlight special gives a look into the new realm, Starlight Ridge, a land filled with glistening crystal snow and foliage, and a breathtaking starry sky. After some exploring of the new territory, the ponies meet the Auroricorns, who invite the ponies to join them for “Starshine Time” – a special series of fun wintery activities. The ponies marvel at the beautiful aurora flares that burst into the sky each time they finish an activity, but are confused when, out of the blue, all of the Auroricorns suddenly retire for the night, leaving the Mane 6 all alone. As they’re about to figure out how to get back to Equestria, they notice that the Auroricorns have all snuck back outside and are acting very strangely, and that a mysterious evil snow leopard, Allura, seems to have them under her control. The Mane 6 and Sparky are now tasked with helping their new friends, the Auroricorns, get out from under the paw of an evil tyrant Snow Leopard known as Allura.

Development and production
On September 17, 2020, Hasbro allegedly attended an online Russian licensing summit where it was announced that a 44-minute special would premiere in Spring 2022, followed by the release of season one of an untitled G5 television show in Fall that year, and season two of that same show the following year.[2]
On February 2, 2021, The Motley Fool published an article that said that My Little Pony would be getting a television series.[3] On February 24, 2021, it was revealed by Enternainment Tonight that both the film My Little Pony: A New Generation and a follow-up animated series would be released on Netflix.[4] The next day, Hasbro revealed in an investor event that the upcoming series would be "computer-animated".[5] Further confirmation of the release date from Hasbro's Newsroom reiterated that the series would premiere in 2022.[6]

On May 7, 2021, Atomic Cartoons posted a job listing for a CG designer for the series.[7] They later disclosed publicly in an investor presentation that 23 22-minute episodes and 4 44-minute episodes had been ordered by Hasbro.[8] Further job openings were announced throughout the rest of 2021.[9]
On October 16, 2022, it was announced that the series will have two more "chapters" and two new specials in 2023.[10]
The title of the series, as well as the amount of content planned for 2022, was revealed by Entertainment One in a press release on February 17, 2022.[11] The main cast of the series was confirmed by the Netflix website on April 19, 2022, preceding the release of the initial "Make Your Mark" special episode. This revealed that the voice actors from My Little Pony: Tell Your Tale would be reprising their roles, as well as the addition of Rob Tinkler (Sparky) to the cast.
