My Little Pony: Mane Merge is a video game developed by Gameloft Brisbane and published by Gameloft. The game was released on December 16, 2022, as an exclusive to the Apple Arcade subscription service on the iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple TV platforms.

The game is a combination of the tile matching and basic singleplayer minigame genres, switching between the two of them often.

Release

My Little Pony: Mane Merge was announced by Apple on November 29, 2022 and was released as an exclusive through Apple Arcade on the following December 16th.

Occasional updates have followed in 2023 to add more levels and modes.

System requirements

As of January 2023, the minimum requirements for access through Apple Arcade are:

• iOS 13 or later
• iPadOS 13 or later
• "macOS 10.16"^[sic] or later (actually macOS 11 Big Sur)
• tvOS 13 or later

On tvOS (Apple TV), a third-party game controller is also required, with the game refusing to proceed past the title screen with the Apple TV remote control alone. Despite the tutorial telling the player to "Drag!", tiles can only be moved by holding A (X on DualShock/DualSense controllers) while moving the left stick. The touch functions on DualSense are ignored by the game entirely.

Plot

Opaline has spread vines across Equestria that keep ponies and animals trapped, and it's up to the Mane 5 to get rid of the vines and rescue those who are trapped.
