Mariama is a female Zebra who appears exclusively in IDW's My Little Pony comics. She is the mother of Skye.

Mariama is a female Zebra with a black and white striped body, she has pink hair with purple streaks in it and a white headband that she wears. Her eyes are aqua green. She has an earing in her ear, and she is wearing a purple bag. Her cutie mark is a little seaweed with a little heart on top.

Media

My Little Pony (comics)

Mariama first appears in My Little Pony (comics) Issue 14 alongside her daughter, Skye as Violette comes crying to them. As Violette explains what happened Mariama and Skye sympathies with her and give her a potion to allow her to fit in. Later in that same issue Mariama and Skye come and visit Violette at Mane Melody where Izzy explains to Violette that Mariama and Skye meeting her was planned so that Violette would learn a lesson about wanting to fit in. At the end of the issue, her daughter Skye and Violette became best friends.

Trivia

• Mariama along with her daughter, Skye are the first Zebras to appear in Generation 5 of My Little Pony.
