Luminous Dazzle is a female Pegasus pony in the fifth generation of My Little Pony who exclusively appears in My Little Pony: Tell Your Tale.
Character contest[]
Originally the original character of fan artist Lumi, she entered the character into an official contest held by Lekia Sweden in July 2022, whose 1st (and only) prize was to have the character show up in an episode of My Little Pony: Tell Your Tale, alongside receiving a box of toys. The contest rules were reasonably simple, with no age limits, with the only notably limiting rules being that participants had to be Swedish citizens and to visit a physical Lekia store to submit the character drawing.
Luminous Dazzle was declared the winner out of an unknown number of entries.
Intellectual rights controversy[]
The winner of the contest was required to transfer all intellectual rights to the winning character to Hasbro; however, this had not been mentioned in the official rules for the contest.
Although Lumi has consistently said the transfer process was amicable, reactions in the G5 fandom to the requirement of a transfer have varied greatly.
All later official character contests in other countries for Tell Your Tale have specified such a rule, but also added a maximum participant age of 12 for unknown reasons (Lumi was a much older legal adult during the Swedish contest).

Luminous appeared as a cameo in Izzy Moonbow's wishful thoughts of Maretime Bay in Secret Ad-mare-er.
She also appears in Sunny's Smoothie Moves and The Hunt for Eggmund Bunny.
Appeared in her own store in Diva and Conquer during the events of Bridlewoodstock, she later officially gets a line in the episode.
Luminous Dazzle appears outside Mane Melody in Hot Day, Huh?, watching Hitch Trailblazer chase Sparky Sparkeroni in Sparkle School, lifted up by a beanstalk in Moon Festival, attending the perfume launch in Scents of Adventure, walking around the market in Nightmare Market and with monster hair in Very Bad Hair Day.
In The Rise and Fall, Luminous Dazzle is seen as Opaline Arcana enters Zephyr Heights and is later seen outside the Zephyr Heights Together Tree.

In Icy Prints, Luminous Dazzle is first seen on Zipp Storm's contact list, she is then seen among the ponies scared by Zipp's video she is later seen as the unicorn's magic becomes more powerful. In Cake Dragon, Luminous Dazzle is seen running away from the cake dragon. In Cracked It, Luminous Dazzle is seen flying while holding a chocolate egg. In P + P = BFFS, Luminous Dazzle briefly appears at the carnival as Posey Bloom waves from the Ferris wheel. In The Tinytrot, Luminous Dazzle is seen riding the Zippercoster. In The Dream Team Delight, she is seen in line for Sunny Starscout's and later Comet's smoothies at their smoothie stand.
