Jazz Hearts Rocky is the fourth episode in Season 2 of My Little Pony: Tell Your Tale, and the seventy-fourth episode overall. It was released on February 1, 2024.

Synopsis[]

The Mane 6 help Jazz to regain her confidence to ask Rocky out. Little does she know that Rocky has the same idea.

Plot[]

In Mane Melody, Jazz finds herself having a crush on her colleague, Rocky. Sensing Jazz's crush, Pipp and her friends start teasing her, just to find out that Jazz is eager to invite Rocky to the upcoming Mane and Hooves Expo but unsure of how to ask. Sensing Jazz's dilemma, Pipp and her friends offer their support to boost her confidence, but their suggestions vary widely.

Sunny recommends that Jazz be herself and direct. Zipp suggests a more casual and aloof approach. Pipp proposes a dramatic approach, suggesting Jazz sings Rocky a song, while Izzy advises Jazz to dance for him.

As the moment arrives for Jazz to invite Rocky, she attempts to incorporate all the diverse advice from the Mane 6. However, their collective ideas result in making Rocky feel uncomfortable. In an accident, Jazz accidentally reveals the Expo tickets and asks Rocky to join her. To her surprise, Rocky discloses that he had also planned to invite her, as he already got tickets. Jazz enthusiastically accepts, and they end up enjoying the Mane and Hooves Expo, while the Mane 6 playfully observe their interaction.

  • The episode's title is a play on the 2012 romance film I Heart Shakey.
  • It's revealed that Jazz has a crush on Rocky, a crush that is hinted to be reciprocal.
  • We get to see the different views that most of the Mane 6 have on how to ask someone out:
    • Sunny tells Jazz to be direct with Rocky.
    • Misty tells Jazz to be romantic.
    • Izzy tells Jazz to make a dance.
    • Pipp tells Jazz to add some "drama".
    • Zipp tells Jazz to act cool.
      • Hitch is the only one of the Mane 6 to not give any advice to Jazz.
  • The episode was originally released as "Jazz Loves Rocky" before being promptly changed to "Rocky 💖s Jazz" on YouTube.
  • This is the first Tell Your Tale episode Jazz has her star hoof polish since Dragon Dad.
  • Hitch was credited, but didn't have any lines.
