Izzy Moonbow is a female unicorn pony and one of the main characters of the fifth generation of My Little Pony. She is Sunny's first non-earth pony friend.
Personality[]
Izzy is very energetic, creative, optimistic, talented and finds wonder in everything. Izzy loves to "unicycle"―using recycled materials to create new art. She loves doing arts and crafts, such as making friendship bracelets for her new best friends. Though Izzy can come off as scatterbrained and naïve, she possesses a big heart and is often the one to try to make the most out of a situation.
Appearance[]
Izzy is a lavender-coated female unicorn with a medium build, with thin dark purple eyebrows, magenta eyes, small yet fluttery-like eyelashes, dark purple hooves, as well as having a lightly curly blue mane and tail with darker blue gradient at the bottom, with her mane being almost hoof-length. As for her cutie mark, it consists of a purple heart with a blue button in the center, with the anterior side of the heart features three sewing pins: two pink and one purple. As per her pony type, Izzy sports a long, powder-blue horn.
While Izzy does not wear any clothing, she sports two accessories she had made herself; a headband with a decoration of crystals and beads, in a color scheme of teal, blue, purple and magenta which she wears around the back of her head, and a friendship bracelet on her left hoof.
In My Little Pony: Make Your Mark and the merchandise that came along with it, Izzy's mane and tail changes quite a bit; it now sports a purple ombre at the bottom, with the right side of her main now being chest-length, thus making it look shorter in appearance. In My Little Pony: Tell Your Tale, she has very curly, poofy hair that reaches her hooves.

Hi, new friend!
Izzy wanders into Maretime Bay and causes a mass panic. She does not quite understand the panic, however, and thinks the Earth ponies are just playing games. Sunny Starscout is the only pony to come to her aid and guides her through the various traps and obstacles to the safety of Sunny's house.

Medium sneaky?
Once inside, Izzy remarks that Earth ponies and Unicorns look exactly the same minus the Unicorn horn. She also reveals to Sunny that magic has been missing for a while and she cannot perform any spells. After evading Sprout and Hitch's grasp, the two set off to Zephyr Heights to see if the pegasi know what happened to the magic. Izzy is apprehensive about visiting and tells Sunny about what Unicorns think of Pegasi and Earth ponies (brutes and stupid, respectively). Sunny tries to reassure her by reminding her that they were both wrong about the other's kind.

Izzy and Sunny both sing "I'm Lookin' Out For You" (strengthening their bond) as they travel to a canyon outside of Zephyr Heights. In the canyon, Izzy tells Sunny her "Sparkle" is lavender. They are both frightened by an unidentified (later revealed to be Zipp) pony darting about. After Zipp introduces herself and leaves, asking them to be quiet about the encounter, Izzy and Sunny are captured by the royal guards. Izzy's horn is capped with a tennis ball to protect the other ponies.

In Zephyr Heights, Izzy and Sunny ask the guards questions about flying until they are distracted by the grandiosity of the city. Izzy happily goes along with the guard's orders as they are brought before Queen Haven and her daughters. Izzy excitedly greets Zipp before she is reminded of their agreement. After questioning by the Queen, she and Sunny are thrown into the dungeons.

LOTS of glitter.
Izzy seems to be enjoying her time in the dungeon, which is fitted with a massage chair and a bowl of fruit. Zipp comes over to talk to them and ask about magic. After a visit from Pipp, Izzy and Sunny are brought to the old Zephyr Heights balloon station by Zipp. Once they realize that there are Pegasus and Unicorn crystals and decide to bring them back together, they set out to get the crystal from Queen Haven. Izzy creates a fake crown from macaroni and art supplies, and Zipp lets Sunny and Izzy into the concert hall to swap the crowns. This goes well until Cloudpuff chases the duo around and eventually takes it back from them. As Hitch arrives and tries to arrest Sunny, they hide in the room where the lights and wires are controlled, scaring the backstage pony and causing a scene eventually resulting in the lie about flying to be revealed.

Izzy leaves with the rest of the group into an alleyway in Zephyr Heights, where it is revealed the Pegasus crystal did not leave with them. Izzy remarks on how fun it was to lose the crystal in an attempt to cheer spirits. Pipp comes and reveals that she has taken the crystal, and the group sets off to Bridlewood.

In the daisy fields, tensions rise and Izzy is accused of stealing Hitch's badge. She explains that she did see it on the ground a few hours ago, remarking that the bade was causing an "unhealthy power dynamic". While everyone fights after coming across a broken bridge, Izzy uses her horn to cut down a nearby tree to bridge the gap, and the journey continues.

At the firepit, Izzy enjoys getting warm with the other girls. After Hitch comes over and joins, Izzy looks forlorn. She explains that being with the other ponies has been the best thing to happen to her and she's upset that the adventure will end. She appears to be cheered up upon Sunny reminding her that magic will be restored. Hitch asks why she came to visit Maretime Bay in the first place, and Izzy explains that when she was a filly she had found a lantern with a message. She reveals the same letter that Sunny had wrote in her childhood with Argyle, and realizes that Sunny was the original creator.

At Bridlewood in the morning, Izzy trots into the forest despite the apprehension of the other ponies. Izzy reveals her whimsical treehouse home full of crafts and creations she dubs "Unicycling". She is very excited to share her creations with her friends, but Sunny reminds her that they need disguises. Izzy confidently assures her that she can easily procure disguises. She sings "Fit Right In" explaining the misconceptions about Earth ponies and Pegasi and begins to craft horns and covers for the other ponies to wear.

Crystal!
Now walking in Bridlewood, Izzy excitedly points out every crystal she encounters. The other ponies notice that Izzy is unusually upbeat in comparison to the other, much sadder unicorns. After Hitch uses the word "magic" and causes the other ponies to perform their "Bing Bong" ritual, Izzy explains that Unicorns are very superstitious and have a set of forbidden words (magic, wing, feather, mayonnaise). Upon hearing these words, they must perform a ritual to ward off jinxies. Izzy leads the ponies to the Crystal Tea Room in search of a crystal-collector.

Izzy is aware of Alphabittle's reputation as a winner of games. When Sunny tries to wager the Pegasus crystal in exchange for the Unicorn crystal, Izzy tries to dissuade her unsuccessfully. Izzy acts as part of the collective as Sunny wins the game and crystal, and the group flees after the disguises fail. Izzy apologizes as she leaves.

When Queen Haven and Alphabittle encounter each other, Izzy holds the Unicorn crystal and tries to bring back magic with Sunny. She is sad when they fail and watches as Sunny leaves.

Izzy later comes back alongside Zipp and Pipp, as she didn't want to be apart from Sunny. Unfortunately, Sprout arrives with his mech and army shortly after and vows to destroy them. Izzy goes to the lighthouse with Sunny and Pipp to try to assemble the crystals. Izzy nearly falls from the lighthouse, but Sunny pulls her back up just as Sprout smashes into the house, destroying it. Izzy and Sunny are uninjured, but disheartened. Izzy is sad but becomes cheered up by Sunny's speech.

When magic is restored, Izzy is very excited to see her horn glow and watch her friends fly around. She helps to clean up Maretime Bay, using her magic to lift and fix a knocked-over tram car. She excitedly proclaims that she never has to be apart from her friends and does the "hooves to hearts!" cheer with the others.
My Little Pony: Make Your Mark[]
Chapter 1[]
In the hour-long special My Little Pony: Make Your Mark, Izzy helps with the preparations for the Maretime Bay Day festival and repairs Sunny's childhood lantern as a surprise gift. When it is discovered that tensions between the three pony races are causing magic to glitch, Izzy and her friends do their best to ease those tensions. When magic goes haywire, creating a dark void that Posey and Windy fall into, Izzy gives Sunny the finished lantern so she can save them.
Chapter 2[]
In Izzy Does It, Izzy suffers from creative block after her birthday gift for Sunny results in a demand for more crafts. While trying to reawaken her creative side, she stumbles on an old cart and reworks it into a mobile crafting station. She then helps Pipp with her own creative block by remixing one of her songs. In Growing Pains, Izzy offers to dragon-sit Sparky Sparkeroni for Hitch. Instead of following Hitch's multiple directions, she simply lets Sparky have fun.
In Ali-Conned, Izzy helps to cheer Sunny up after she realizes no one really believes in her causes, and alongside the others, reveal that they have made Sunny's dream of a community garden come true. In The Cutie Mark Mix-Up, Izzy is present for the public opening of the garden, and she helps round up the animals that were scared by the ponies stampeding into it. In The Traditional Unicorn Sleep-Over, Izzy meets Misty and invites her to be part of a traditional Bridlewood sleepover. When Misty suddenly leaves, Izzy is heartbroken and admits that she's been missing Bridlewood. Her friends help cheer her up by redecorating their sleeping area to look like Bridlewood. In Hoof Done It?, Izzy is briefly interrogated by Zipp over the whereabouts of Sunny's missing lantern. Izzy admits that she briefly used the lantern to look for tea leaves to help with her insomnia and returned it after.
In Have You Seen This Dragon?, Izzy seeks out the missing Sparky, unwittingly sabotaging her friends' efforts with a loud device she creates in hopes of drawing him to her. She also helps Pipp with her Sparky-finding lullaby by playing a flute, and finds an old tram that she hopes to uni-cycle into something else.
Chapter 3[]
In the Winter Wishday special, Izzy unveils the Mare Stream aircraft alongside Zipp, which allows the Mane 5 to travel across Equestria to take part in each tribe's holiday celebrations. Izzy is all too eager to take part part in the unicorn holiday of Wishiehoof and explains to her friends the unicorn greeting of "Frostyshivers". When it is discovered that the greeting magically creates snowy weather, Izzy helps reverse the situation by coming up with the new greeting of "warm Wishiehoof". Izzy and her friends return to Maretime Bay, where they witness the Wishing Star passing over the Brighthouse.
Chapter 4[]
In the special Bridlewoodstock, Izzy introduces the "Lumi-Bloom" in Bridlewood to all of her friends. This event inspires Pipp to host a huge musical event, but Izzy is concerned about ancient unicorn beliefs that it will attract mysterious creatures called Troggles. Despite being concerned, Izzy ends up helping Pipp with inviting Ruby Jubilee as a headliner. In the end when the troggles appeared, Izzy's poem helps the crew to repel the troggles.
In Top Remodel, Izzy and the Mane 5 is exploring the abandoned Canterlogic Factory. Izzy and Sunny decides to transform the building into something new for Maretime Bay, but is overwhelmed by the requests of ponies. Izzy gives Sunny advice from the elder unicorn, that being a leader means making the tough decisions and it impossible to please everypony. In The Jinxie Games, Izzy helps Hitch and Cloudpuff practice for the competition in Forrest Critter Field Day. And during the games, Izzy became the judge and decides who the winner is from the rules.
In Sunny Side Up, Izzy is part of the filming crew of Hitch and Sunny's TV show. In The Manesquerade Ball, Izzy invites Misty to attend the masquerade ball with all of her friends. When they are in the grand ballroom, Izzy cues up the song for Sunny's unity dance. Even though they have not practiced the dance enough, with some improvisation from the Mane 6 the dance is made a success. In A Little Horse, Izzy tries to help cure Pipp with a magical Bridlewood tea.
In Missing the Mark, Izzy and her friends find that Sparky is missing again, and Misty leads them to Opaline's castle. There, they got captured by Opaline and learn that Misty was serving her the entire time. After Misty has a change of heart and frees them, Izzy and Pipp help distract Opaline but end up trapped again. In the end, Izzy and the others lend their cutie mark magic to Sunny, allowing her to overcome Opaline.
Chapter 5[]
In Cutie Blossom Bash, Izzy and her friends bring Misty to Zephyr Heights to celebrate her getting her cutie mark. Along the way, Izzy relates the story of how she got her own cutie mark. When Misty confesses that she can't stand the idea of being in the spotlight, Izzy and the others arrange a private ceremony for her.
In Family Trees Pt. 1, the group travel to Bridlewood to investigate the dreams Misty has been having, and encounter the Breezies and their Night Market. In Family Trees Pt. 2, Izzy and her friends travel to the Dragon Lands, and witness Misty reunite with her father, Alphabittle. In Father of the Bridlewood, Izzy introduces Sunny and Zipp to Elder Flower. In Mane Smelody, Izzy helps with the stink created by the flowers in Pipp's new mane polish by adding some better-smelling flowers to the mix. In Nightmare on Mane Street, Izzy helps decorate the Brighthouse for Nightmare Night. She is also present when Sparky's fire reveals a map to the Isle of Scaly.
Chapter 6[]
In The Isle of Scaly, Izzy and her friends travel to the dragons' home. Izzy helps the Mare Stream avoid a crash landing when the Hope Lantern's power suddenly weakens. Soon after, they meet the dragons, whom Izzy gives friendship bracelets to. She also stays with Pipp and Misty to try and see what the problem is with the Mare Stream. While they are unable to solve the problem, the dragons give them a ride back to Equestria.
In Roots of All Evil Pt. 1, the ponies return to Maretime Bay to discover that Opaline has corrupted the Together Tree and started stealing cutie marks. Izzy goes to defend Bridlewood from Opaline's next attack. In Roots of All Evil Pt. 2, Izzy takes on Opaline when she attacks Bridlewood, briefly fooling her with a fake cutie mark. However, Opaline ends up taking her cutie mark anyway. Soon after, Izzy and all the ponies of Equestria sing in support of Sunny. The ponies' unity spreads through the Together Trees, purifying Opaline's and aiding in her defeat. Afterward, Izzy examines a portal that has formed in Opaline's Together Tree, causing her to take on a sparkly new appearance.
In Secrets of Starlight, Izzy and her friends investigate the portal that has formed in Opaline's Together Tree, which brings them to Starlight Ridge, with Izzy finding herself struggling not to slip on the snowy surroundings. There, they meet the Auroricorns, with Comet helping her to avoid slipping while ice skating. Soon after, the group learn that the Auroricorns are in the thrall of a winged snow leopard named Allura, who seeks a magical item to escape the realm. Izzy uses her creativity to create a fake portal to deceive Allura, and together, the ponies and Auroricorns manage to defeat the villain and send her running. Izzy's clumsiness inadvertently reveals the magic that allows the ponies to return home, and she is entrusted with it in the form of the Nova Charm.

Season 2[]
In Icy Prints, Izzy and Misty greet Zipp who is flying through Maretime Bay when playing jump rope with Señor Butterscotch and Madame Taffytail. Later along with the Mane 6, she mentioned her creativity to help protect Maretime Bay.
In Heavy is the Mane that Wears the Fruit Crown, Sunny and the Mane 6 dress up for the Maretime Bay festival of Carnival. Pipp’s Carnival crown is too large, so Izzy and Misty come up with a plan to help her. In the carnival, Izzy mentions the fruity rain of good luck, which is a sign of good luck.
In Cake Dragon, Izzy and the Mane 6 celebrate Sparky’s birthday. When the cake dragon attacks Maretime Bay, Izzy suggests assaulting it with cake, but to no avail.
In Jazz Hearts Rocky, Izzy advises Jazz to dance for Rocky.
In Swirlpool Starlight, when Izzy steps into the magic Swirlpool, the magic tells her that her heart glows with the creative gifts and her most magical creations are still ahead, while showing Izzy previews of her creation, inspiring her with ideas.

Izzy in Sunny's Day
Izzy visits Sunny and sees she is upset. Izzy tries to cheer up Sunny by scheduling a day full of activities. The two upcycle, have a tea party, create mobiles, paint, make friendship bracelets, and create musical instruments. Izzy notices Sunny is still sad after all of the activities and realizes that they spent the day doing all of Izzy's favorite activities-not Sunny's. Izzy apologizes, but Sunny reassures her that Sunny's father would have loved to see the two being friends anyway. Sunny invites Izzy to go roller skating together.
