Generation 5

Generation 5 (shorthand: G5) is the seventh (and current) incarnation of the My Little Pony toyline. It began in the Fall of 2021 and beyond.

One of the themes for the brand is diversity and inclusion.

My Little Pony: A New Generation, the premiere film for the generation, was released on September 24, 2021.

On September 17th, 2020, Hasbro allgedly attended an online Russian licensing summit where it was announced that a 44-minute special would premiere in Spring 2022, followed by the release of season one of My Little Pony: Make Your Mark (Its name was not known at the time) in Fall that year, and Season 2 of that same show the following year.

An Italian entertainment site revealed a Christmas special for December 2022, and the series release date for September 2022, with the special airing in Spring 2022.
