Leaks

Leaks are unintentionally, accidentally released images, media, and other confidential information. Leaks can occur when a third party accesses otherwise confidential information and releases it to the public, a retailer releases information about an upcoming release that mistakenly has confidential information, or media sites accidentally publicize upcoming episodes from media.

2017

In late 2017, emails were leaked detailing the planned end for Friendship is Magic and the beginning stages of G5 planning. Concepts focused on redesigns of Twilight Sparkle, Rarity, Applejack, Pinkie Pie, Fluttershy, and Rainbow Dash. This suggests that G5 was originally going to be a reboot not a continuation of Friendship is Magic.

2021

Taobao Logo Leak

A new logo and unseen background motifs.

In January 2021, a Taobao retailer uploaded some Generation 4.5 figures with a new logo and background that had not been seen thus far.

There is currently speculation as to whether this could be the official logo for Generation 5. This turned out to not be the official logo, as there was an official logo that debuted in 2021. Some speculate that this is the the early version of the G5 MLP logo.

Movie Character Names Leak

On January 12th, 2021, an anonymous user on 4Chan claimed to have worked on the movie and identified the characters featured in the Logo Leak's image. They claimed that the ponies were named Pipp, Zipp, Izzy, Sunny, and Hitch.

Storyboard Leak

On January 13th, 2021, an upload on Slideshare was discovered to feature the Mane 6 from Generation 4. The original uploader for the storyboard, Marylene Sun, has on her LinkedIn that she had worked at Boulder Media on an "Upcoming CGI Movie" from July of 2018 through February of 2019.

The animatic is titled "Opening Scene Song". It has since been removed from Slideshare, but has been uploaded in other places of the internet since.

Character Design Leak

On February 22nd, 2021, JerryFabrics uploaded an image of licensed bedspreads which feature Sunny Starscout, Izzy Moonbow, and Pipp Petals. The text "everypony can make a difference" in a style similar to the leaked logo can be seen on the top of the duvet. The bedsheets have a release date of 9/2021, which matches up with the projected release dates of other merchandise . Two days after this was found, EntertainmentTonight posted the first screenshot of the Movie, showing that the bedspread is indeed real merchandise.

2022

Video Game Leak

On March 1st, 2022, Target publically posted a listing for the Switch version of My Little Pony: A Maretime Bay Adventure a full week before the trailer and announcement of the game was made.

Tell Your Tale Leak

On April 6th, 2022, the first three episodes of My Little Pony: Tell Your Tale were each released in two different languages on their respective YouTube channels. A Home to Share was uploaded in Korean and Japanese, Zipp Gets Her Wings was uploaded in Finnish and Greek, and Nightmare Roommate in Malay and Italian. Each upload, barring Korean, was privated one to two hours after upload. The Korean upload remains.

On April 14th, 2022, The Unboxing of Izzy was uploaded in Portuguese. However, the dub is the only out of other foreign language channels was not private and it still stayed up until the regular release time.

On September 20th, 2022, Pippsqueaks Forever was uploaded in Norwegian, and was also not private and it still stayed up until the regular release time.

On October 12th, 2022, Haunted House was uploaded in twenty-four different languages. (all except English, Spanish, Portuguese, German and French) The uploads were suddenly privated after upload until the regular release time.

On October 17th, 2022, Baby Critters Club was uploaded in Arabic. It was suddenly privated after upload until the regular release time.

Make Your Mark New Character Names Leak

On August 24th, 2022, a user on our Discord server claimed that the magenta-purple alicorn and sky-blue unicorn in the Make Your Mark Chapter 2 image were named Opaline and Misty.

2023

Generation 5 Equestria Girls Leak

On January 12th, 2023, a mysterious user on an unknown source has leaked two images of what it appears to be photos of a screen showing off a new line of G5 Equestria Girls that would be released in 2023 showing the main characters (expect for Hitch) and said that the price still to be decided, around $24.55, these images are later reposted by a user on Instagram. This leads to speculation that there's going to be new second incarnation of the Equestria Girls spin-off franchise for G5 to compete with the third generation of Mattel's Monster High franchise that recently launched last year but the rest of 2023 passes and nothing about G5 Equestria Girls is announced. However, there still no announcement of the dolls as of 2024.

Make Your Mark Episode Orders For Chapters and Release Schedule Changes Leak

On January 26th, and later on June 15th, 2023, a user on our Discord server and Manechat leaked some information about the episode order changes and delayed release dates for My Little Pony: Make Your Mark for 2023 between the original and the changes below:

• Chapter 4 was supposed to have 7 episodes and the release date was on April 3, but it has been changed to have one special and 6 episodes, and the release date has been delayed to June 6.

• Chapter 5 was supposed to have only one special and the release date was on June 6, but it has been changed to have 6 episodes, and the release date has been delayed to September 18.

• Chapter 6 was supposed to have 8 episodes and the release date was on September 8, but it has been changed to have 3 episodes and one special, and the release date has been delayed to November 23.

• Chapter 7 was supposed to have only one special and the release date was on November 13, however, Chapter 7 has been scrapped and redirected to Chapter 6 due to Chapter 6, which was supported to start and end with a two-parter, has been split into two chapters, and the special (originally from Chapter 7) has been moved to Chapter 6 itself.

The leak about the episode order changes from January 26th was later shared online on Facebook by a Facebook user, without permission.

Tell Your Tale March Episode Leak

On March 21st, 2023, The Hunt for Eggmund Bunny was uploaded in some different languages such as Spanish, French and Portuguese Brazilian. The uploads were suddenly privated after upload until the regular release time. This was the only leak and there none of other episodes to be leaked in different languages at all in 2023.

2023 Marketing Plans and 2024 Brand Deck PDFs Leak

On June 14th, 2023, another user on our Discord server shared the entire PDF files of the new 2024 brand deck (titled 2024 Franchise OVERVIEW) and 2023 marketing plans for Hasbro's partners, and there's been some big upcoming content for the future.

• My Little Pony: Make Your Mark Chapter 5 would have 6 episodes to be released in September, and Chapter 6 would have 3 episodes and 1 special to be released in November.
  • The title of the final special and its logo have been leaked in the same PDF.

• My Little Pony: Tell Your Tale Season 1 ends in December.

2024 Brand Deck PDF

• My Little Pony: Tell Your Tale Season 2 has been greenlit for 2024 and will likely consist of 48 5-minute episodes to be released every Thursday weekly on YouTube and 4 22-minute special episodes, seasons 1-2 will be available on Netflix in 2024. The specials' release dates for Tell Your Tale were revealed that:
  • The first special will be released in March.
  • The second special will be released in August.
  • The third special will be released in October.
  • The fourth special will be released in November.

• My Little Pony: Tell Your Tale will have a total of 24 songs (17 have been released so far)

• In the 2024 Marketing Overview page:
  • My Little Pony: Tell Your Tale will be the "one and only" animated series in 2024 (after My Little Pony: Make Your Mark would be ended in November 2023)
  • 4 new toys that will be released for Year Four (2024) are a 5-inch brushable Izzy with rainbow mane and tail and new accessory sets for Pipp, Misty, and Sunny.

• In Maximizing Ponyverse Potential page, a new console game will be released in Q3 2024.

• My Little Pony: Tell Your Tale has been more successful at driving toy purchases than My Little Pony: Make Your Mark.

Tell Your Tale Comic Covers Leak

On September 2nd, 2023, the "Art Not Final" cover from the then-untitled IDW comic series, which it is based on My Little Pony: Tell Your Tale was leaked and has been shared by the user on Derpibooru forums, it was also shared by an anonymous user on 4Chan until the unfinished cover was shared publicly.

On December 19th, 2023, the cover which features Izzy as a seapony from the new comic titled My Little Pony: Set Your Sail, which it is probably based on My Little Pony: Tell Your Tale was leaked and has been posted by the user named Rerrtiz on Pinterest. However, it was never discovered it before, but as of January 6th, 2024, it was shared by an anonymous user on 4Chan until the unfinished cover was shared publicly.

Main Comics Leak

On November 22nd, 2023, the entirety Issue #19 from My Little Pony comics was released by IDW on Issuu which the issue has a big watermark, and never made it unlisted. However, this was only for the reviewers.

On December 21st, 2023, the entirety Issue #20 from My Little Pony Comics was also released by IDW on the same website which the issue has a big watermark, and never made it unlisted. However, this was also only for the reviewers.

2024

Tell Your Tale Season 2 Leak

On March 5th, 2024, the two episodes of the second season of My Little Pony: Tell Your Tale were released in English as unlisted on the official Tell Your Tale YouTube channel. Bunnisi Beauties and Cracked It had been unlisted since February 27th (one of them was originally supposed to be released on February 29th, but never released) until they had been publicly added to a playlist on the same channel on the same date at 10:39 UTC. Both uploads were suddenly privated after upload until the regular release time.

Tell Your Tale Season 2 Backgrounds Leak

On March 22nd, 2024, 17 backgrounds concept art for the future episodes of the second season of My Little Pony: Tell Your Tale were uploaded on ArtStation, some episode numbers that were mentioned in the image URLs are Episodes 11, 12, 13, 14, 25, 28, 30, 34, and 35. The original uploader for the backgrounds, Vian Teow, has on their own ArtStation website that they are currently working on the show at Lil Critter Workshop from September of 2021 through the present.

The artist has later added the text to their ArtStation post, they mentioned that Hasbro has allowed the artists to upload strictly to their portfolio sites only, and warned us to do not share the concept art outside instead.
