Dapple often appears alongside Onyx and plays his bongo drum when Onyx recite poems.

Dapple is a male Unicorn with a sage green coat and a curly basil green mane and tail. He has light green hooves and emerald green eyes. His cutie mark is of bongos and he often appears wearing a green scarf.

Season 1[]
Dapple debuts in On Your Cutie Marks where he participates in the Equestria Games. Dapple gets his only speaking appearance in Friday Night Food Fight when he gets rotten eggs in his hair. He makes other major appearances in All That Jazz where Dapple performs in the Crystal Tea Room alongside Onyx and in Diva and Conquer where he performs in a magic show alongside Rufus. He also makes 13 other minor appearances.

Season 2[]
His first appearance in season two is in Icy Prints where he is seen outside Mane Melody as Zipp flies by. In Bunnisi Beauties, he can be seen alongside Onyx as two Bunnisi run outside. In Cracked It, he is seen as one of the ponies who gathers around the huge easter egg. In Where the Rainbows are Made, Dapple first appears watching the rainbow unicorn magic being stolen. He then appears watching as his magic is restored.

Chapter 1[]
Dapple is among the ponies that Windy crashes into, he is present when Posey rallies up the earth ponies but does not agree with them. He is later seen eating from a trash can during the Maretime Bay Day festival.
Chapter 2[]
In Izzy Does It, Dapple can be seen throughout the craft fair. In Ali-Conned, Dapple is seen among the ponies gathering to see Sunny as an Alicorn and in Have You Seen This Dragon?, he is among the ponies hiding from Hitch.
Chapter 3[]
In Winter Wishday, Dapple is seen along with Onyx greeting the Mane 5 as they arrive in Bridlewood. He is then seen when the Mane Five tell the unicorns to stop saying frosty shivers.
Chapter 4[]
In Bridlewoodstock, Dapple and Onyx warn the Mane 5 about the danger of the Troggles. In The Jinxie Games, Dapple is among the ponies watching the games in the audience and is later seen winning trophy much to Hitch's confusion.
Chapter 5[]
In Family Trees Pt. 1, Dapple is seen inside the Crystal Tea Room with Onyx, Alphabittle and Queen Haven when the Breezies arrive. In Father of the Bridlewood, Dapple is seen alongside Onyx giving Alphabittle insight into what his daughter Misty might be feeling.
Chapter 6[]
In Roots of All Evil Pt. 1, Dapple has his cutie mark stolen by Opaline. In Roots of All Evil Pt. 2, he joins everypony in singing in support of Sunny, and regains his cutie mark upon Opaline's defeat.

Trivia[]
- Some fans have given him the name called Bongo Beats. However, the part Bongo is official, according to the dubbing credits from My Little Pony: Tell Your Tale on Netflix, and is referring to him. Later, his official name was first heard in Bridlewoodstock.
- Make Your Mark, Izzy Does It, Ali-Conned and Have You Seen This Dragon? are the only Make Your Mark episodes he appears in without Onyx.
- Secrets of Starlight is the only special of Make Your Mark he doesn't appear in.
