Dahlia is a female earth pony in the fifth generation of My Little Pony. She serves as a recurring background character of My Little Pony: A New Generation, My Little Pony: Make Your Mark and My Little Pony: Tell Your Tale.
Appearance[]
Dahlia is a light pink earth pony with white socks and a white belly. Her mane and tail are pale aqua green and her eyes are magenta. She wears a wine color scarf and a flower on her left ear. She has lavender eyes and gray-brown hooves. She shares her mane and tail design with Sugar Moonlight, Rosedust and Lily.

My Little Pony: A New Generation[]
Dahlia appears as a background character in Maretime Bay. Hitch briefly greets her near the beginning of the film, where she is seen walking alongside an elderly mare named Mayflower. She later watches Phyllis' technological presentation and flees in fear when a unicorn named Izzy Moonbow enters into town. Later in the film, she looks to deputy sheriff Sprout for leadership and safety against the "threat" of Pegasi and unicorns, and later joins the angry Earth pony mob during Danger, Danger. Dahlia later appears again toward the end of the film after Pegasi and unicorns get their magic back.
My Little Pony: Tell Your Tale[]
Season 1[]
Dahlia appears in the 2D animated YouTube series, which is set after the events of A New Generation. In Clip Trot, she appears watching and dancing along to the Mane 5's ClipTrot video of the Pony Hip Hop. In Neighfever, Dahlia has been trying to sell homegrown flowers at her flower cart, but nopony bothers now that earth ponies can grow their own plants via magic. Sunny later visits her and attempts to teach her magic. Eventually Dahlia's power awoken and she is able to grow massive flowers, but they tumble over and send pollen billowing all over Maretime Bay. Feeling ashamed about her power, Dahlia hides away but Sunny find her again and notices that Dahlia's sneeze are transforming flowers into glowing colors. Dahlia ends up selling glowing flower necklace at her cart and they're a huge success. In Puphunt, she helps spread the word around social media about Cloudpuff's disappearance. In All That Jazz, she gets a hooficure from Jazz. In Haunted House, she gives candy to the Mane 5 when they trick or treat at her door. In A Day in the Life, she helps Pipp's new perfume. In Ponytropico, she appears in an online advertisement for the Ponytropico resort.

In Icy Prints, Dahlia appears as Zipp flies through Maretime Bay. She then accidentally gets Zipp's message about a town destroying monster. She later appears using her earth pony magic with Posey and is then sent the video of Allura. In Cracked It, Dahlia first appears as Sunny delivers smoothies throughout Maretime Bay. She is then seen eating one of the chocolate eggs from Eggmund Bunny's puzzle. In The Blockywockys, she first appears as one of the ponies who sing alongside the Mane 6. She then appears picking flowers in a field as the Mane 6's rainbow shoots across the sky. In P + P = BFFS, Dahlia is seen attending the carnival. In Emotional Rollercoaster, she is seen in line for the Zippercoaster. In The Tinytrot, Dahlia is briefly seen at the Boardtrot. In The Dream Team Delight, she appears in the angry crowd around Sunny's smoothie stand and walking with Rocky in the background. In Ooh a New Friend, Dahlia appears walking around the Boardtrot. In Attack of the Vending Machine, Dahlia is seen among the crowd surrounding the magical vending machine. In The Water Park, Dahlia appears at Izzy's water park and is seen on a slide alongside Posey.

My Little Pony: Make Your Mark[]
Dahlia makes a minor appearance as one of the many Earth Ponies who are unhappy about the Unicorns and Pegasi using magic. She often appears as part of a trio with Mayflower and Posey.
Chapter 1[]
In the special Make Your Mark, Dahlia appears several times walking through Maretime Bay. When Posey rallies Earth ponies against Pegasi and unicorns, Dahlia joins her in shunning the other pony races from Maretime Bay Day. Toward the end of the special, when the pony races make amends, Dahlia and her fellow Earth ponies gain plant-growing magic.
Chapter 2[]
In Growing Pains, Dahlia accidentally blocks the door to Hitch's sheriff station with magically-grown vines, listens when Hitch places restrictions on Earth pony magic, and later magically grows a patch of gardenias (which she is allergic to). In Ali-Conned, she expresses annoyance when Sunny tries raising awareness on junk food consumption, but she quickly changes her tune whenever Sunny turns into an Alicorn. In The Cutie Mark Mix-Up, Dahlia joins other Earth ponies in growing fruits and vegetables in the community garden, and she later buys smoothies from Hitch after he switches cutie marks with Sunny. In Hoof Done It?, Dahlia briefly appears talking to Posey during Zipp's search for Sunny's missing lantern.
Chapter 3[]
In Winter Wishday, Dahlia briefly appears celebrating Winter Wishday alongside the ponies of Maretime Bay.

In Top Remodel, Dahlia suggests the idea of a glitter banner for the Canterlove studio.
In Sunny Side Up, Dahlia is one of the audience members of the show "Sunny Side Up".

In Cutie Blossom Bash, Dahlia can be seen attending the festival. In Mane Smelody, Dahlia is seen participating in the Mane Smelody Challenge.
Chapter 6[]
In Roots of All Evil Pt. 1, Dahlia has her cutie mark stolen by Opaline. In Roots of All Evil Pt. 2, she joins everypony in singing in support of Sunny, and regains her cutie mark upon Opaline's defeat.

My Little Pony (comics)[]
In Issue #12, Dahlia was one of the last ponies to see Pansy Silverbell before the latter's disappearance. Her Ponygram username is later revealed to be 'Dollyyeah,' as she was revealed to be jealous of Pansy's success. She is also revealed to have won the Maretime Bay Bake-Off grand prize during the same time Pansy disappeared. Dahlia is later shocked to discover that Pansy has been her food truck neighbour for some moons without even realizing it, and is eager to rekindle their old friendship.
Trivia[]
- At the end of Gonna Be My Day, when Sunny arrives at Canterlogic, Dahlia is seen at two places at the same time: talking with a grown up earth pony and in the background walking with a foal. That's probably because the animators used her model twice for the scene.
- There is an earth pony in Generation 1 named "Dainty Dahlia".
