Cutie Blossom Bash is the first episode in Chapter 5 of My Little Pony: Make Your Mark and the fifteenth episode overall.[1]
Synopsis[]
It's the annual Equestria Cutie Blossom Bash! But Misty feels nervous to be honored alongside all the other ponies who received their Cutie Marks.
Plot[]
The episode begins with the Mane 6 traveling to Zephyr Heights aboard the Mare Stream for the annual Equestria Cutie Blossom Bash, a ceremony which celebrates all the ponies who received their cutie marks over the past year. Misty, who earned her Cutie Mark in the previous episode, feels nervous about the honor, so her new friends each tell her the stories of how they received their Cutie Marks.
- Sunny got her cutie mark while running a lemonade stand as a filly, after resolving an arguement between two ponies who both wanted the last cup.
- Zipp got her cutie mark when, while trying to figure out how Pegasi could fly again before magic returned to Equestria, she impressed several pegasi who witnessed her attempting parkour, emulating the feeling of flying.
- Pipp got her cutie mark when, immediately after witnessing Zipp's parkour skills, she was inspired to share her singing talent for the first time.
- Hitch got his cutie mark when a filly asked to join the 'hoofball' game he was playing with some colts, who refused to let her do so, but Hitch "ditched the meanies" and played with her.
- Finally, Izzy got her cutie mark when she took a pile of junk in the middle of Bridlewood and turned it into a fountain, discovering the joy of 'uni-cycling.'
However, Misty's nerves only increase as each story ends with her friends trotting on a stage in front of a large audience, and worsen still further as she is luxuried by the royal family -though primarily Pipp-, though she does enjoy getting her mane dyed from its original navy blue and teal to two-toned purple and hot pink with coral-orange tips. When she later goes to meet her other Cutie Blossom Bashers, her fears of being the oldest pony there by a wide margin are confirmed.
On the day of the Cutie Blossom Bash, Misty's nerves finally break after the other Bashers trot towards the stage, when she closes the doors behind them and confesses her feelings to her friends. Her friends realize that they completely forgot to ask Misty if she even wanted to participate in the Bash, and apologize.
Zipp and Pipp then make arrangements to throw a private ceremony in the garden, where the two sisters planted trees to commemorate getting their Cutie Marks as fillies. Pipp offers Misty a sapling, which she plants, and the group sings It All Takes Time, ending with the growth of a new Together Tree.
Misty then realizes that her Cutie Mark is a butterfly because she has the power to change. She then expresses her intent to return to Opaline and act as a spy. When her friends protest, she expresses that it is what she wants to do. Before returning to the lair, she hides her Cutie Mark using a powder puff to match her coat.

Trivia[]
- This episode was originally supposed to take place in the order of Chapter 4 and was supposed to be the seventh and final episode of the same chapter before the special Bridlewoodstock, but the release schedule was changed during production.[2]
- A 3-minute clip to the episode was probably released intentionally earlier on YouTube on July 14, 2023.[1] However, it was later removed by Hasbro for an unknown reason on July 21, 2023.
- This is the only Make Your Mark episode where Sunny is shown using Flora Magic while not in Alicorn form.
- This episode reveals that Izzy and Pipp made a makeover for Misty that they changed Misty's dyed mane color.
- However, Misty's dyed mane color is also shown in I've Seen Fire and I've Seen Rain(Bows) from My Little Pony: Tell Your Tale, probably taking place after the events of this episode.
- Opaline reveals in this episode that she never actually intended to give Misty a Cutie Mark.
- Opaline spends most of this episode in search of her favorite manebrush "Gertrude." In A Little Horse, Misty gifts Pipp a manebrush, however, this is more than likely a coincidence.
- This is the only Chapter 5 episode Queen Haven appears without Alphabittle.
- This is the only Make Your Mark episode Dazzle appears without Skye.
