Synopsis[]
Hitch and the Mane 5 are celebrating Sparky's Birthday! But Sparky's magic turns the cake into an actual dragon that causes chaos in Maretime Bay.
Plot[]
It's Sparky's birthday and the Mane 6 throw a party in Crystal Brighthouse to celebrate. Before Sparky enjoys his giant cake, Hitch encourages him to make a wish before blowing out the candles. Sparky's desire is for another dragon brother, and as he extinguishes the candles, his magical dragon fire brings the birthday cake to life, transforming into a colossal Cake Dragon.
The Cake Dragon escapes the Brighthouse and unleashes chaos in Maretime Bay, roaring, covering everything in cake icing, and sending the whole town into panic, except for Skye Silver and Dazzle Feather.
The Mane 6's attempts to stop it by catching it with a big net and assaulting the dragon with more cake, but to no avail. When Sparky climbs a building to have fun with his creation, the Cake Dragon knocks him off the roof. Quickly, Hitch uses his plant magic to capture and transform the dragon to a harmless cake form. The ponies rejoice, but Sparky is heartbroken over the loss of his "brother."
In an attempt to lift Sparky's spirits, Hitch uses his magic to transform the cake remnants into a small dragon plushie. Sparky is delighted with the plush doll, affectionately calling Hitch Papa.
