Sunny Starscout wakes up one day to discover that Maretime Bay is overwhelmed by piles of trash and increased tourism from Pegasi and unicorns, causing ponies to frequently almost get run over in the streets. To combat this issue, Sunny and her friends take on the task of cleaning up the trash and organizing traffic, and Pipp posts a video of them doing so on social media. Unfortunately, the task quickly becomes too much for them to handle.
Luckily, a large crowd of ponies, led by Posey Bloom, arrive to assist, having seen and been inspired by the video Pipp posted. With their help, Maretime Bay is cleaned up and organized in no time, and Sunny establishes the annual "Cleanup Carnival" holiday.
