Alphabittle Blossomforth is a male unicorn pony in in the fifth generation of My Little Pony. He is the owner of the "Crystal Tearoom" in Bridlewood and is the father of Misty Brightdawn.
Personality[]
Alphabittle is very competitive and takes delight in playing games for items. He has a large collection of trinkets he wins through these games. He tends to act as a bit of a leader of the Unicorns despite holding no true status. Unlike other Unicorns in Bridlewood, he does not mope around. He can be stern, but was moved by Sunny's attempts to bring magic back as well as her speech.
Over the course of My Little Pony: Tell Your Tale, he has warmed up to Queen Haven in the time after they were bickering in the movie, being shown next to each other in On Your Cutie Marks, and arriving to Haven's castle with a tuxedo and bouquet in Mare Family Mare Problems.
However, it's later revealed that much of his less pleasant side, like his overcompetitive streak or even his grumpy attitude, comes from the loss of his daughter, Misty, something that haunted him for moons and caused him to hang on to every reminder he had of her. One example of that is how he placed so many games at the Crystal Tearoom and mastered all of them and hosted performances on stage and microphone, as those things reminded him of things his daughter used to like. The loss of his daughter was also the reason why Alphabittle always hesitated in leaving Bridlewood, as he wanted to be present in case she returned home.
After being reunited with Misty, he became overflowed with joy and pride in such way that he didn't waste time in trying to reconnect with her and make up for lost time. However, the fact Misty didn't remember most of her childhood memories and Alphabittle's attachment to his memories of her daughter as a filly, prevented them from truly connecting. That attachment to past memories unable him from seeing that Misty didn't like most of the things she used to like, with one example being spinning fast on the merry-go-round, or stage performance or even the tea flavor that her father created just for her when she was a filly. However, once he got to know that Misty was not the same filly he got to know and how awful she was feeling for not being able to enjoy their time together, he decided to try to get to know her current self and give her the space she needed, like having her make her home at Maretime Bay with her friends, as long they continued to keep contact.
Appearance[]
Alphabittle is a large, heavyset unicorn with a medium gray coat and dark gray hooves. He has a wispy white mane and tail, bushy eyebrows, sideburns, and a beard. He has freckles on his cheeks, and brown eyes. His cutie mark is a teapot.
When he was younger (around the time Misty was still a filly), Alphabittle's mane used to have a dark blue color as well.

Alphabittle owns the Crystal Tea Room, which is where Izzy Moonbow brings her friends to search for the Unicorn crystal. Alphabittle is in the middle of winning a snow globe from a pony after they fail at a rubik's cube challenge. Alphabittle has a crowd of armadillo-like creatures that assist him with the games and organization of his trinkets, who serve tea to a challenging Sunny. Alphabittle is very interested by Sunny's challenge. He shares some competitive banter with Sunny. He seems to understand that the Unicorn crystal is very valuable, as he taunts Sunny to bet something of high value in exchange. He is very surprised to see the Pegasus crystal, but Izzy pulls Sunny away for some discussion quickly. He begins to lose patience with the discussion and asks if they have a deal. Sunny agrees and goes to solve the same cube, but Alphabittle tells her that a prize of such value will have a special competition.

Alphabittle brings the "Ultimate Challenge", a DDR-style dancing game. Although the announcer says the game will be a best out of three competition, Alphabittle says Sunny only needs to win one round to win the bet. Alphabittle easily wins the first and second rounds, very confident in his abilities. After Sunny, encouraged by Pipp, starts to win in the third round, Alphabittle's confidence really wavers and he loses.

Bing!
While celebrating her win, Sunny's disguise falls off and Alphabittle is angry to learn that she's an Earth pony. Sunny explains she's here to help, but Alphabittle claims they don't need help. He demands the Pegasus crystal despite Sunny's winnings, but he is stopped by Hitch initiating the "Bing Bong" ritual, stopping them all from chasing the Mane 5.

Alphabittle follows the group shortly after, finding them after they've been stopped by Queen Haven. Alphabittle tries to claim the Pegasus crystal from Queen Haven as the Unicorns and Pegasi fight. Alphabittle then watches Sunny and Izzy reunite the crystals, and is dissappointed to see nothing happen. He wordlessly accepts the Unicorn crystal from Sunny as the group splits up.

A million ships sailed that day...
Alphabittle later chased Izzy Moonbow, who left Bridlewood for Maretime Bay, and is approached by Sprout's mech. He willingly gives the Unicorn crystal to Sunny when she asks. He protects his armadillos from being splattered with Sprout's defenses, getting himself stuck in the process. He later is saved by Queen Haven, who bowls into him to get him out of Sprout's path.

He is later moved by Sunny's speech, and symbolically helps to put the picture of Argyle and Sunny back together, pledging to unite with the other kinds once again. He chuckles as his magic is restored and his horn glows. He is later laughing with Queen Haven and greeting a young Earth pony running around with Cloudpuff, seemingly no longer bigoted towards the other kinds.

In Bridlewoodstock, Alphabittle attends the the music festival.

Alphabittle appears in The Jinxie Games, where he was secretly having a date with Queen Haven while Pipp and Zipp worry about their mother. Later Alphabittle and Queen Haven become the main judges of the Forest Critter Grand Prix.

In The Manesquerade Ball, Alphabittle and Haven have a secret relationship and watches The Mane 6's unity dance and is curious about Misty.
Chapter 5[]

In Family Trees Pt. 1 and Family Trees Pt. 2, Queen Haven comes to visit Alphabittle, with her sharing her wish that he opens a second tea shop in Zephyr Heights so they can see each other more often. However, Alphabittle tells her that he just can't leave Briddlewood, with him hiding his reasons for that. When the breezies return and make their presence known to Alphabittle and Queen Haven, the two of them follow them to the breezie's night market.

During that time, Alphabittle's cutie mark started to react to something, with Zipp noticing that and remembering that Misty's Cutie Mark was doing the same thing.
After the night market closes for the night, back in the tea shop, Alphabittle gathers the courage to tell Queen Haven about his missing daughter.
At that moment, Misty appears at his shop and the two reunite.
In Father of the Bridlewood, Alphabittle gets very excited for finally having Misty back, wanting to make up for lost time with her. He shares a lot of memories he had of Misty when she was a filly and wanted to relive them with her so she could remember them. Misty agrees to that, however she soon finds herself overwhelmed by Alphabittle's eagerness to relive their past memories, with him ending up neglecting what Misty was feeling. After he came to realize that Misty was not the same filly she was once before and she was only tolerating it for him, Alphabittle decides to get to know the current Misty and give her the space she needs for them to have a real second chance to bond together.
Chapter 6[]
In Roots of All Evil Pt. 1, Alphabittle has his cutie mark stolen by Opaline. He also appears at the end with Izzy and he's filled with horror as Opaline overpowers Hitch and steals his cutie mark. In Roots of All Evil Pt. 2, he takes part of the battle with Izzy and the other unicorns by throwing various stuff at Opaline and the enslaved dragons. He is later seen in joining everypony else in singing in support of Sunny, and he regains his cutie mark when Opaline is defeated.
